This workshop is the final step of ICRIER’s ongoing research on a Cost-Benefit Analyses of India’s Export Promotion Schemes. The project was commissioned by the Ministry of Finance, and the researchers have attempted to evaluate the overall economic impact (welfare gains/loss vis-a-vis investment, foreign exchange and employment etc) of existing export promotion schemes, including SEZs. Based on detailed quantitative analysis, the studies make relevant policy recommendations for the Government of India.
