Newsletter

MAY 2021

We are pleased to present the ICRIER newsletter for May 2021. This issue of the newsletter encapsulates our research and policy outreach activities during the month of April 2021. These are incredibly difficult times for all of us and our Professors and Researchers continue to do excellent research in our range of subjects. We remain dedicated to becoming the foremost think tank in India as well as globally.

Last month ICRIER staff published extensively on various issues. The paper on Covid-19: Emergence, Spread and its Impact on the Indian Economy and Migrant Worker is a timely examination of the impact pandemic the Indian economy. Another paper on Food Systems in India: Challenges, Performance and Promise was widely read. Three policy briefs were released as a part of ICRIER’s ongoing work on G20 issues and are receiving vast attention. These include briefs on issues of energy storage systems, renewable technologies for electricity access and material efficiency approach for reducing emissions. A research paper on Understanding of Caste-Based Residential Segregation in Indian Cities was published in a peer reviewed journal.

ICRIER also organised a webinar on the topic, ‘Tracking Covid-19: Public Health and Socioeconomic Surveillance’ in collaboration with Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung. The webinar was well-attended.

In addition to these activities, ICRIER staff continue to publish analytical op-eds on a variety of relevant topics such as agriculture, climate change, macroeconomic policy, international trade, among others. If you missed these or any other activity, you would find the links below.

We hope you take some time to view some of the recordings and also glance through other updates from April 2021. We would love to hear back from you.
