Ananya is a doctorate from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi and an M. Tech in Environmental Science and Technology from the National Institute of Technology, Durgapur . Her interests lie in the field of Aerosol (Air pollution), Health risk assessment (mixture toxicity), In-vitro toxicity, Epidemiological studies, Inputs to Public Policy Development, and Climate Change and Technology adaptation.

Before joining the ICRIER, Ananya had working experience in the field of Climate Action managing the CII-Climate Action Charter, she worked with the industries and mainly the MSME sector to understand the risks and vulnerability towards climate change and baseline their emissions to develop roadmap and help them understand and reduce their emissions in the coming years. She also has expertise in the domain of air pollution and had worked in the States of Bihar and Maharashtra, where she was involved in research & analysis, project management, stakeholders engagement and donor reporting. During leisure time, Ananya is a food connoisseur and theatre lover.
