Anuradha Yagya is a Senior Visiting Fellow at the Indian Council for Research on International Economic Relations (ICRIER).

She is an urban and social development expert with a professional experience of 20 years. She is an expert in (i) urban development and planning with focus on urban socio-economy, poverty and slum development, quality of life and gender; (ii) regional development planning including regional socio-economic assessments, resource base studies, etc; (iii) Resettlement and Rehabilitation (R&R) planning for highway, urban infrastructure projects and mining projects; and (iv) Social Impact Assessment (SIA) for urban infrastructure and highway projects. Her key strengths include understanding of cross sectoral issues due to experience in working with multidisciplinary teams and understanding of grass root level issues in project planning and implementation.

Some of her previously held positions include Gender Equality and Social Inclusion Specialist (Consultant) at India Resident Mission, Asian Development Bank, New Delhi; Consultant Urban Social Protection, UNICEF India; Environment and Social Safeguards Specialist and Team Leader, National Institute of Urban Affairs (NIUA), New Delhi. Presently, she is an independent consultant for social and gender development. She is also a visiting faculty at School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi and is registered as a PhD scholar at the Jindal School of Government and Public Policy (JSGP) of O.P. Jindal Global University [Institution of Eminence Deemed to be University].

She has a masters in Geography from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) and master’s in planning from School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi.
