G20 Independent Expert Group (IEG)

 

As part of its G20 Presidency, India has established an Independent Expert Group (IEG) to provide recommendations for strengthening Multilateral Development Banks (MDBs). The Group is co-convened by Prof. Larry Summers (US) and Mr. NK Singh (India). The Indian Council for Research on International Economic Relations (ICRIER, Delhi), along with the Centre for Global Development (CGD, Washington DC), has been appointed as the Secretariat for this Group.

Consultation with
Non-State Organisations (NSOs) on
Reforming Multilateral Development Banks (MDBs)

As an advisor to G20 IEG on Strengthening MDBs, ICRIER hosted a consultation with CSOs. IEG Co-convenor NK Singh, Chief Economic Advisor of the Government of India, Anantha Nageswaran, World Bank Country Director for India Auguste Tano, and Deepak Mishra, Director & CEO of ICRIER, among others, participated in the consultation.
