The project will focus on the electrification of the transport sector, which is crucial for India to meet its 2030 clean energy targets and industrial ambitions. It will entail a comprehensive approach to analyzing key risks, including trade, geopolitical, and Environmental, Social and governance (ESG) risks. Furthermore, it will provide targeted policy recommendations to relevant government agencies and actionable insights for businesses. This work will contribute to a better understanding of the policies, financing, and subsidies required, along the supply chain, to ensure a transition that can boost local manufacturing and job creation in India. The project will focus on understanding the critical supply chain barriers companies face in localizing electric vehicle (EV) and EV battery cell manufacturing in India.
