The ICRIER Library cum Documentation Centre is a leading research and reference library in the area of economics and finance. Set up in 1981 when ICRIER was established, the library has provided solid research support, for more than 40 years, to ICRIER’s researchers and to the policymakers, consultants, students, and many others from all over India and overseas. The library’s physical and digital collections include Books, Journals, Databases, Statistical Data, Periodicals, Institutional Publications, etc. Due to the rising focus on digitalisation, the library is increasingly equipped with a good collection of e-resources, with easy access to multiple subscribed journals and statistical databases.
ICRIER library’s operations are automated and the institutional repository has been developed. It offers a conducive environment for providing required references to research scholars and visitors from India and abroad. It has networking arrangements with other institutions for resource sharing through DELNET. The library subscribes to a number of economic databases, namely: Statista, Indiastat, CMIE, EPWRF etc. Access to e-journals and back-filed collections becomes feasible through important sources, such as JSTOR, EBSCO Econlit, EPW, etc. ICRIER is also a depository library of the IMF and has access to all its publications and data.
The ICRIER’s documentation centre has continued to provide excellent services to the stakeholders by providing support to numerous data analysis tools, softwares, and plagiarism and AI detection tools. The library is committed to promote the Intellectual outputs on various international knowledge platforms, namely ‘Library of Congress’, Dow Jones, OKhub, etc.
