The objective of this project is to (a) analyse the sales trends in India’s ultra-processed food sector, (b) examine the global best practices to reduce the consumption of unhealthy food, (c) present the policies and initiatives taken in India, and identify the policy gaps and (d) suggest policy recommendations for promoting a healthy and nutritional diet.
