Dr. Prakash Loungani as Senior Visiting Professor at ICRIER. A globally respected economist, he currently serves as Program Director of the Master’s in Applied Economics at Johns Hopkins University, recently ranked among the top programmes in the United States. Over a distinguished career spanning more than three decades, he has held senior roles at the International Monetary Fund and the Federal Reserve System.
A prolific scholar, his research is widely cited globally. He is also the author of Confronting Inequality: How Societies Can Choose Inclusive Growth and writes extensively on economic developments in India and around the world.
