Laxmi holds a postgraduate degree in Water Science and Policy, and an undergraduate degree in Economics from Shiv Nadar University. She previously worked as a Pre-doctoral Fellow at the International Water Management Institute (IWMI), where she managed an action research project on solar irrigation in Eastern Uttar Pradesh. Laxmi has also served as an Assistant Project Manager at the Foundation for Ecological Security (FES), focusing on the analysis of self-adaptive socio-ecological systems. Her areas of interest include NRM based livelihoods augmentation, agriculture, and water management.
