Vasudha Upreti works as a Research Assistant within ICRIER’s Trade, Investment, and External Relations Team. She completed her Master’s degree in Economics from Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University in 2024 after obtaining a B.A. (Honors) in Economics from Daulat Ram College, University of Delhi in 2022.
Her professional journey includes her internship at the Directorate General of Foreign Trade, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, where she critically analyzed India’s service sector for a comprehensive report and presentation. Vasudha has also contributed to the startup ecosystem, serving as an HR intern at Pixtsory and later as a Business Development Associate at Wisdom Tree in Gurugram.
Her academic pursuits have been centered around rigorous data analysis, both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, and proficiency in software tools like R and STATA for econometric analysis and data handling. Her keen interest lies in applying these skills to explore areas such as international trade, development economics, infrastructure economics, and feminist economics.
Vasudha is an avid reader of newspapers and classic non-fiction, and she actively engages in sports and yoga. She has also represented her college and school in badminton tournaments and has participated competitively at the state level.
