India is actively pursuing bilateral/regional Free Trade Agreements. While Free Trade Agreements would certainly imply a reduction in tariffs, the gains from such trade would be limited in the presence of non-tariff barriers. This study identifies non-tariff barriers (NTBs) faced by India’s exports to ASEAN and Sri Lanka.. The study measures
the incidence of non-tariff measures applicable to Indian exports and assesses the extent to which Indian exporters face NTBs through a survey of exporters.
