Objective: Is to capture the year-on-year impact of e-commerce on MSMEs in India to build a robust database overtime, for a long-term assessment of the impact. It will also cross-examining the experiences of the MSMEs that have integrated with e-commerce platforms with those that have not integrated on such platforms.
Scope and Deliverables: The study is based on a survey of 2000 MSMEs including 1000 MSMES each from a controlled group (firms that have no exposure to online sales) and treatment group (firms that are integrated on e-commerce platforms) manufacturing units across six product categories namely sports goods, toys, furniture, readymade garments, handicrafts, and processed and preserved food sectors. Ten states and about 28 industrial clusters were covered. The findings will be presented in a report.
