Joint Feasibility Study on Enhancing Trade, Investment and Cooperation between India and Taiwan

To enhance trade, investments and cooperation between India and Taiwan, the Indian and Taiwanese governments had commissioned a Joint Feasibility Study, which was carried out jointly by ICRIER and a Taiwanese think-tank, Chung-Hua Institution for Economic Research (CIER). The objective of the study was to understand the current scenario, identify the scope of enhancing trade and investments, examine the barriers and make policy recommendations to the two countries for inter-government trade and investment discussions. For this study, surveys were conducted in India and Taiwan to understand the issues faced by companies across multiple sectors.
