The Ministry of Food Processing Industries, Government of India, launched the Mega Food Park (MFP) scheme in the Eleventh Five Year Plan. The project evaluated the impact of the MFP scheme. The objectives of this study were to (a) understand how stakeholders, such as farmers and small and medium enterprises, have benefited from the scheme (b) identify issues with the implementation of the scheme (c) understand other issues faced by developers and units (d) compare this scheme with other schemes and (e) make policy recommendations for improving the scheme.
