Trade has the potential to significantly boost women’s role in the economy, reduce inequality, and expand women’s access to skills and education. Therefore, designing policies to enhance the participation of women in international trade, with an overall goal of improving economic growth is critical. Our research will focus on collating best practices, prescribing targeted measures and enabling the implementation of support measures that can boost women’s participation in cross-border goods and services trade, assimilate women-owned enterprises into global value chains, and enhance female workforce in trade-oriented sectors.
