Ms. Ria Babbar is a Research Associate in the GEM Team at ICRIER. She holds an M.Sc. in Economics (Agribusiness) from Gokhale Institute of Politics and Economics and a B.A. (Hons.) in Economics from Delhi Technological University. Her research interests include international economics, macroeconomic policy, international trade and economic policy analysis.
Prior to joining ICRIER, she worked as a Young Professional at the Centre for WTO Studies under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, where she contributed to free trade agreement negotiations as part of the Indian delegation’s analytical support team. She has contributed to policy-oriented research on trade agreements, MSMEs, and climate-related regulatory frameworks.
