Qualcomm Incorporated (Qualcomm) has extended its collaboration with ICRIER through a programmatic research grant. The earlier grant pertained to an in-depth study on the licensing practices of cellular standard essential patents among Indian enterprises, a project that garnered positive feedback from stakeholders.
The current partnership will explore diverse themes to identify practical levers of innovation within the country’s emerging technology landscape, including the IPR ecosystem, edge computing, semiconductor sector, among others. The objective is to build a cohesive research and engagement programme that spans multiple innovation domains, ensuring that insights are not confined to theory but translated into actionable strategies. In doing so, the programme seeks to operationalise theoretical lessons into concrete frameworks that inform policy, strengthen governance, and enhance competitiveness in markets.
