Joint Study Group (JSG) to Explore the Possibility of Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between India and Turkey

At that time, India and Turkey had expressed interest to negotiate a free trade agreement (FTA) to enhance bilateral trade, investment and cooperation. A Joint Study Group was set up by the governments of the two countries to explore the trade potential, identify areas of cooperation and suggest means for removal of barriers to trade. This study was an input into the Joint Study Group report and for designing the future negotiation strategies of the Indian government.
