Dr. Adholeya has over past 31 years of experience working on soil fertility, soil and plant microbiology, nutrient cycling, bioremediation using microbes and plants, biofuels, mass production technology for mycorrhizae biofertilizer using transformed root organ cultures, molecular characterization and commercialization of mycorrhizal biofertilizers, Characterization and physiology of microalgae, rate limiting factor platform. Dr Adholeya’s career has been largely devoted to finding and developing ways to harness the power of microbes, particularly mycorrhizae and microalgae to increase the productivity of crop plants and to restore degraded lands.

Prior to joining ICRIER, Dr. Adholeya was the Programme Director at TERI. He received his Doctorate from the University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar and Masters from Jiwaji University, Gwalior.
