4 Pilot Studies in Trade in Telecommunications, Logistics, Audiovisual and Professional Services

This study examined the methodologies and institutional framework adopted by some developed and developing countries for collection and compilation of services trade data. It suggested a suitable mechanism for regular collection of country-wise, sector-wise and mode–wise services trade data. A pilot survey was conducted to check the validity of the data collection procedure and to help in the design of a business directory. The study provided a framework for on-line and offline services trade data collection.
