Guiding questions:
⚈ What are the approaches for balancing consumer welfare, innovation, and competition concerns in digital markets?
⚈ Are there specific gaps in the existing Indian competition law regime to deal with competition concerns in digital markets?
⚈ If yes, what is the recommended approach to plug the gaps and why? Does it merit additional amendments under the existing law, or is a new law necessary/ desirable to introduce ex-ante obligations?
⚈ If the latter, how should the obligations and associated thresholds for application be designed?
⚈ Would there be a need for institutional realignment or capacity building within the government/regulator to monitor implementation and compliance?
⚈ Should India be guided by global paradigms (established and emerging) for regulation of competition in digital markets or devise its own regulatory architecture?
