Mehak Aggarwal works as a Research Assistant in the Digital Economy, Startups and Innovation Team at ICRIER. She holds an M.Sc. in Economics from the London School of Economics & Political Science and a B.A. (Hons.) in Economics from Indraprastha College for Women, University of Delhi. Her academic interests lie in applied econometrics, competition and labour economics, with her LSE dissertation analysing the impact of male earnings on female labour supply in India.
Prior to ICRIER, she has worked on trade policy and economic research, including as a Research Assistant to Dr. Badri Narayanan Gopalakrishnan, contributing to India-UK FTA modelling, tariff simulations, and competitiveness studies using GTAP. Mehak has also undertaken policy-focused internships at NITI Aayog’s Trade and Commerce Vertical and Invest India’s Strategic Investment Research Unit, where she analysed export performance, foreign partnerships, logistics reforms and investment trends.
