The study aims to examine the implications and impact of moratorium on the imposition of custom duties on electronic transmissions in India. The proposed study and research will evaluate the historical underpinnings of WTO negotiations concerning the moratorium, India’s positioning, and the broader effects of these negotiations on India’s digital trade and digital economy, with a view to formulate a strategic policy position for India at the next WTO Ministerial Meeting.
