The project aims to develop an integrated assessment for India’s rice subsidy reform that connects electricity subsidy choices to groundwater use, rice production, domestic prices and food dependent countries in Asia and Africa under future climatic, water use, and policy scenarios. ICRIER and IRRI will codesign the modelling scenarios towards sustainable rice value chain in India.
