Pratik Tiwary is a postgraduate student of Economics (Trade & Finance) at the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), New Delhi, with academic and practical experience in international trade policy, regulatory analysis, and applied economic research. He has interned with the Ministry of Commerce & Industry and the Land Ports Authority of India, where he contributed to policy research on services trade, WTO-related issues, gender mainstreaming, and infrastructure governance.

He has also worked on a live research project examining the impact of Quality Control Orders (QCOs) on EU–India trade across multiple sectors. His work involved trade data analysis using WITS, HS–IS code harmonisation, stakeholder surveys and interviews, and the preparation of analytical briefs and policy notes. His academic and professional interests include trade and investment policy, risk modelling, data-driven policy analysis, inclusive development, and applied econometrics. He has hands-on experience with Python, Excel, and STATA, and actively participates in finance competitions and case studies.
