This report analyses India’s grape sector with a focus on export competitiveness, value chain gaps, and market opportunities. India produces about 3.9 million tonnes of grapes and exports nearly 9 per cent of its output, significantly higher than most other fruits. Ranked among the top 10 exporters globally, India holds around 4 per cent share in world trade. The European Union, accounting for over 70 per cent of exports, reflects India’s ability to meet stringent quality standards. The report offers strategies to further enhance value realisation, expand into new markets, and build on existing strengths to sustain export growth.
